10% of profit, every order
Not 10% of revenue, 10% of what’s actually left after printing, shipping, and running the shop. It goes to charities working directly with people in need, no exceptions, no minimum order.
How it works
Step 1
Every sale is recorded
Each order's profit, the price minus printing, shipping and fees, is logged automatically as it comes in.
Step 2
Totalled once a month
At the end of each month we add up that month's recorded profit across the whole shop, not a forecast, not an average, the actual number.
Step 3
10% goes out
The donation is calculated from that total and sent out before the next month starts, split across the causes below.
Donations go out once a month, on a fixed schedule, based on that month’s recorded numbers rather than an estimate made in advance. Every one gets logged, dated, by charity, no dollar figures. See the donation log.
Where it goes
Hunger
Food banks and meal programs feeding people who don't have enough, in cities here and abroad.
This covers groceries for a family running short before payday and hot meals served at a shelter or soup kitchen, the everyday, unglamorous kind of hungry, not just headline famine.
“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in.”

Homelessness
Shelters offering a warm bed, a shower, and a way back to stable housing.
Emergency beds for a cold night matter, but so does what comes after, help with an ID, a first month's deposit, a bus pass to a job interview. We favour groups that do both.
“Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?”

Clean water
Wells, filtration, and water infrastructure for communities without reliable access.
A well drilled once can serve a village for a generation. This is one of the few causes where a fixed cost buys a permanent fix rather than an ongoing need.
“When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.”

Disaster relief
Emergency food, water, and shelter in the immediate aftermath of a flood, earthquake, or storm.
This portion moves fastest, sent to whichever relief effort is active that month, a hurricane, a wildfire, an earthquake, wherever the need is most immediate.

We split the 10% across these causes rather than picking one, since need doesn’t stay in one place. As the shop grows, the amount given grows with it.
